Thanks to our generous supporters, MMFS’s 30th Anniversary Gala was a great success. Over three hundred attendees gathered at City Winery to celebrate thirty years of revealing brilliance in every student and to pay tribute to honorees, Anne Ford and Fran Yellen. Anne Ford, author and advocate, was awarded Adam’s Prize for her exceptional work on behalf of people with learning disabilities. Fran Yellen, MMFS school administrator and after school coordinator, received the Violet Longobardi Award for her extraordinary dedication and commitment to the ongoing success and growth of the school.
The Gala netted over $220,000. Of that, $48,000 was raised in the cash call and is earmarked for scholarships. This is by far the most raised at any MMFS gala fundraiser to-date. The proceeds will directly benefit our students. Thank you to Al Roker and Deborah Roberts, hosts and auctioneers extraordinaire, and to the many volunteers who gave their time, donations, and enthusiasm to the event—we couldn’t have done it without you.
