For the second year in a row, the Middle School Chamber Chorus performed at the New York State School Music Association Festival (NYSSMA). NYSSMA is a professional organization that evaluates student musicians in New York state. Students perform at the festival before a panel of judges, who score and comment on their performance. The comments are used by teachers to help students progress in their music studies. Last year the Chamber Chorus received a gold rating at the festival. This year they competed at a more advanced level and received a silver rating. This is a huge accomplishment for our student singers, who put in many hours of hard work to receive such an amazing honor. You can hear them for yourself on June 7th at Middle School Music Night, when they will perform the songs they sang at the Festival for our community. We hope you can join us!
