Our college counseling team provides guidance and support so that students and their families can make the best choices as they consider their post-secondary education.
The MMFS college counselors are experts in their fields, and are well versed in what is available at the colleges in which our students are interested. The team regularly visits colleges to get a deeper understanding of the comprehensive to peripheral supports available to students so that they can make informed recommendations to students and families.
The college counseling team consists of a Director of College Counseling, an Assistant Director of College Counseling, a College Counselor, and a social worker. The team gets to know students when they enter the upper school, so that when it is time for them to apply to college, they already have a good idea of each student’s academic strengths, learning needs, and interests.
In addition to the expansive services provided by the college counseling team, we offer an interview prep component that teaches students skills and strategies for a successful college interview. Our new mock interview process has taught students how to tell their personal stories to their best advantage in an interview setting.
Students and parents are invited to an annual Financial Aid Night, where a college financial aid officer will answer parents’ questions and thoroughly explain the financial aid application process and the many options available to families.
Below are lists of colleges and universities where our recent and past alumni have been accepted. This is just the beginning of what is possible beyond a student’s primary education.
The MMFS Class of 2024 received acceptances from many colleges, universities, and post-secondary programs.
