Jacob has been a member of the MMFS community since 1997, attending when it was only an elementary school. He moved on to the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies for middle and high school. After graduation, he attended Penn State for his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine, with a minor in Psychology. His main extracurricular activity throughout college was cheerleading for the Nittany Lions. He became an assistant coach and personal trainer to assist with the completion of his graduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Gannon University. In his years after college, Jake found an unlikely path to his current career. “I knew I was good at speaking to people, so I could be good at sales.” Currently, he is working in software sales and is happy he made the decision to follow a path that led to his rewarding career. His advice to current seniors: “… do what you’re good at… not just what you’re told and not just what people expect of you.” Jake attributes much of his academic confidence to MMFS, saying he wouldn’t be where he is now without the school.
