Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Can you imagine having your artwork shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art while still in high school? Well, our students don’t have to! A handful of our high schoolers were awarded Gold Keys at the regional level of the 2023 Scholastic Awards and will have their work displayed at the Met now through May 21st. The two works shown here (Slow Dance’s Near His Heart and Burnt Out) even went on to win Silver Medals at the national level! Several other visual arts students received silver keys and honorable mentions, and another won a silver key for an original poem, all at the regional level. Congratulations to all!
